Kate Thornton Sella is known for her ability to effortlessly mix furniture from every decade to create an insightful dialogue — a balance of many generations of inherited furniture and art, all at ease with one another. Within this well-honed vocabulary she creates a slight twist: clean-lined and warm, yet forms that catch the eye, evoke an emotion, realize a memory.
Kate holds both a Master’s degree from the American Graduate School of International Management, and another in Interior Design from NYSID. She has lived and worked in various cities abroad, the most recent being in London, working with a design company that specializes in fine hotels around the world.
In 2001, she founded her own design firm, KTS Interiors, and has been busy doing projects in and around Manhattan, the Hamptons, St. Barth’s, and on the west coast.
